  2. Hi Marcie. You look absolutely fantastic and beautiful. You looked great before but this new hair is even better.

  3. Emily, I’ve always appreciated you as a role model because I’m also Type 1/2. Best wishes for the new chapter of your life! 🙂

Marcy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new hairdo! So flattering and so Type 1! I deeply appreciate all the insights, outfits, and fun in all the videos you’re in.

Can Marcy’s new hairstyle please be added to the Type 1 Hair Gallery? Thank you! 🙂

  4. Oh, I really loved seeing Emily on the videos and felt I could really relate to her as I am a 1/2 as well. I will miss her but wish her all the very best!!

Marcy!!!!! You look amazing!!! I am so happy for you and just want to thank you for all that you do for DYT!! I laughed because I do the same thing, decide at the last minute to go get my hair done… I never even realized it was a type 1 thing! 🙂 lol it’s just more fun to do it spontaneously!

Happy birthday to Anne! You are lovely!

And I highly recommend the online hair consult as well! Nicole was amazing. I had mistyped myself as a 2 and somehow, through that consult, I began to slowly realize that I was truly a 1. She guided me but let me find out for myself. For awhile, I remember thinking I wish I could just have Carol confirm. Now I know that I have discovered the truth for myself!! I’ve been dressing my truth for a few months now and love it!! I no longer feel tied down to please others so much. Now I can be me! It’s been life-changing,I’ve had so many complients, I feel as though my faith has even become stronger because I am so very grateful for how I was created!!! I love it! I have tears in my eyes… Carol, thank you so much. I have a type 1 six-year-old daughter and now I know it’s important to let her be her own true self and not try to change her into being more serious as was done to me. The cycle stops here. She is such a happy fun-loving girl and we have the best time together!! I also teach preschool/kindergarten Sunday School and it’s a blessing to know what types (some) of the children are (I’m still learning!) and now I know how to teach and guide them in a way that’s best for them. I even played Bible duck-duck-goose with them outside our church, had a blast and wasn’t even embarrassed when members walked past and saw… But I noticed they had smiles on their faces and looked happy for me! A year ago I would’ve been ashamed and embarrassed. But there is no shame in being me! I also understand my type 3 husband better and realize now why he is so driven with his work and loves getting things done and why he seems impatient sometimes. Now I know it’s his nature and I so appreciate his gifts and our marriage is great! I also understand more about my type 4 father (who I used to literally be afraid of at times growing up because he is a perfectionist and a critic and I felt I could never please him, though I tried very hard. I realize now he just wanted the best for us and that was his way of showing love) and my type 1 mom who laughed and chatted constantly and even sang cheerfully every morning. Now I know why she did it and I love her all the more! I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This gift you’ve helped give me is priceless. God bless!!!!!

    1. I’m also a 1/2 and would LOVE it if DYT would feature more 1/2 women in their content. Love Marcy and Jaleah but would appreciate having different perspectives than just 1/4s all the time. Thanks!

    2. Katie, thank you for posting this – so much of what you said about discovering and honoring yourself applies to me as well! 🙂

  5. Marcy, you look fantastic!!
Emily, best wishes to you! You will be missed.
Anna K, those curls look great on you!
Anne, happy birthday! Your little boy is precious!

I really love the videos all of you do for us and the entire Live Your Truth program, thank you!

  6. Marcy you not only look wonderfully carefree and fun but so slim – its like you just dropped 20 lbs! Congrats 🙂 on the great decision and Emily what an awesome interpretation of what suited Marcy best. Clever girl.

  7. I was sad when the salon closed, and today I watched this & found out some of the missing links… I wish Emily the best!!! And hope that one day you decide to re-open! – Also, if Emily decided to move out to the East Coast, I’d love to be able to schedule something with her! It would be amazing to find a DYT trained stylist in this area of the country!

    1. Thanks for the well wishes. Salons are not my business model!! Besides I want to empower women to train their own stylists to give them what they want. I highly recommend an online hair consultation with Nicole to get the specifics you are looking for that you then take to your stylist. Training stylist only keeps the power in the wrong hands – we need to empower women to be in charge of their beauty.
