How to Decorate True to Your Energy: Type 1 Home Tour

In my Energy Profiling system, I teach that the 4 Energy Types are expressed everywhere in our world.

Even in home decorating? Absolutely. In fact it’s common that once someone recognizes their dominant Energy Type, they see the same movement in design lines, textures, patterns and colors in their home decor.

Dressing Your Truth Type 1 Expert, Jaleah, invites you into her home to see how she’s honoring her upward, light movement in her home decor.

Plus you’ll see how she honors her husband’s more structured and precise Type 4 energy.

What do you notice about the feel of the Type 1 rooms in Jaleah’s home?

Do you have rooms decorated in a Type 1 style in your home?

Stay tuned, we will be touring Type 2 Expert Michelle’s home in May. Make sure to take my free Energy Profiling course to see if you express your Energy Type in your home decor.

  1. Very interesting. I am rather turned off the type 1 people, and really thought I wanted to be a type 3 but thought I was probably a 2 most of my life. I started doing/dressing/decorating what I thought was type 3, but now I am pretty sure that I am a type ONE! However, I really don’t like the type 1 decorating shown here, and I suspect that I would really like a type 4 house. Now I am very confused. Perplexed

  2. Is it common for Type 1’s to go barefoot inside or is this just a tendency for sensitive people? I asked because that has always been my favorite mode of foot-dressing inside (I’m a 1/3) since I was very young and my parents hated it! Oh well. Also, I missed in your tour the T1 desire to keep things out and about. Your house was seemed kind of empty and clean, especially in the kitchen! Ha ha : ) I absolutely love the “Love” and “Laugh” motif signs! Must get some of those since I have always been attracted to them but wouldn’t let myself get them because I judged them as glib..Also, love your sparkles and shine in your kitchen : ) Thank you for letting us come into your house, Jaleah, Beautiful lady!

  3. Thank you Jaleah and Mark for inviting us into your home – I loved the experience! and what a great idea! I really appreciated it. I think your home is bright, happy, and beautiful and well as serene and relaxing in the darker room. Thanks again, much appreciated.

  4. Ha! “Now” I know why I was so drawn to many things in Jaleah’s home. I watched this video when it came out. I was wondering if I was a Type 1… but my energy isn’t as high as Jaleah’s…. and I also didn’t give myself permission to be my Type. Now that I am fully embracing my Type 1 self (thanks to a special Angel who helped me) I decided to rewatch this video.
It’s so great! I, too, have many lettered things in my home. (love, home, laugh) I too, am drawn to white trim and white cabinets. I always have been! And when I first saw Jaleah’s blue cabinet in her front room there, I was like “oh my word, I love that cabinet!”
So yeah, I’m pretty happy right now. :)))))))

    Love,

  5. Love your kitchen!Love the wood floor where you can be barefoot. We have stone tiles where I can be without shoes only in summer(rented place)and our countertop is dark, black with rust coloured patches.Too dark and No fun at all.I would make my kitchen white with stainless steel sinks that sparkle, with more lights and more windows if I could. That would be my “room” then because I love to cook.As for the type 4 room,I probably would spent my time rather outside
