  1. Wow, Carol what you said about t4s needing their opinion to make a difference just stopped me in my tracks! This is totally me. It’s infuriating to feel passionate about things and have strong opinions and yet not be able to use them to change/improve things. I know I MUST be a t4 (secondary t1) or secondary t4 (primary 3). I get so frustrated when I can’t make a difference/improve something or if I am not respected. Respect is very important to me. I am pretty likeable and good natured but when I express an opinion, esp an unfavourable one, people say exactly as Sheryl said “WOW, tell us how you REALLY feel!” I can be brutal. I’ve also got the black and white thinking, although not for everything, however I can be very perfectionistic with things I care about, like “if I can’t be the best in the world at this, I’m not even going to bother trying”. I also tend to lose focus when I get interrupted/distracted. So for me this was one of your most helpful videos in confirming that t4 is either a primary or secondary energy for me. Thanks Carol!! You both look amazing btw.

  2. Very insightful. Almost funny as I am coming into self realization. I find myself “putting my foot in my mouth”. I’ve been told, “You could have said that in a nicer way”. I often think, if you don’t want to know the truth, please don’t ask. I am working on not shutting down when I feel I am not being heard.

  3. Well I have just LOVED this series! I run my own nonprofit and have all types working with me or participating in our programs. This is so very helpful. Thank you, Sheryl and Carol, for your insightful video. Not only does it further my understanding of Type 4’s, but it really helps me understand my own family. God Bless.

  4. The points that really spoke to me were: 1) the discontent a T4 feels when he/she can’t feel proud of the result and 2) when a T4 doesn’t feel his/her opinion counts, it gets voiced elsewhere. In the jobs I’ve felt most unhappy with (even though they were great jobs) the discontent was due to either or both of those reasons. This video also helped me see why I’ve always avoided leadership positions in the companies I’ve worked for because I have the belief that leadership is often gagged and forced to enforce poor decisions from the executive level. Instead I would leave the company and start over at another company from the ground up. This video was super insightful for me. Thanks for making it Carol & Sheryl!

    1. Carol and her team are so happy to hear that this information has spoken to you and helped you to see different situations you have experienced. We hope that you continue to enjoy the information and video’s that are shared. Thank you.

  5. Thank you for sharing this info. As a Type 4 I used to get very irritated with the phone ringing or text alert while working or even shopping. I’ve learned to silence my phone during those times I choose not to be interrupted. I could leave it on silence all day but I choose the most important times to have solitude. I would love to see the back of Sheryl’s hair! Wondering if it is stacked or angled forward cut. Suits her perfectly!

  6. This is great! It helps me understand my T4 hubby who is so frustrated at work with all the interruptions and others asking him to fix problems then he doesn’t have time to perfect the product they are trying to complete.

  7. Sheryl, I feel such a kinship with you, so I’m always happy to hear your perspective. I think Type 4s need to improve efficiency AND increase beauty. It sounds like your job includes both. Carol’s “a stun-gun” comment is quite funny & TRUE! Since respect is so important to us Type 4s, we do need our opinions & insights to matter to those around us…especially those individuals we highly respect. I love the word *diligent*. I think Type 4s need recognition for our hard work in order to feel happy & content.
