  1. The type 1 color card has a beige color on it next to the brown. What’s the difference between that and a type 3 tan if we aren’t supposed to wear tans? Haha, I’m so confused!
P.S. I LOVE wearing all brown instead of black when I play laser tag and night games! You can totally still be a ninja in dark chocolate! 😉

    1. Yep, Kate is right: the T1 tan is a bright, peachy-pinkish tan and has sunshine coming out of it. It should never look dirty, rusty, or rich! T1 tan is not the easiest color to find, but when you do, you’ll know it. 😉

    2. Thank you for the description – I’m having a hard time visualizing a “peachy-pinkish” tan. Are there any great word descriptors to help me find the right color of tan? Or would they consider making a video on the types of tan?

  2. Love the floral dress! Did it come from the DYT store? Thanks for the tips on wearing brown. It’s one of my favorite neutrals.

  3. Thank you so much! These posts and videos about colors are so helpful! I appreciate all of the guidance DYT gives 🙂

Just curious, would you ever consider doing a video on type 1 navy’s? I watched the one on blues, but sometimes with navy’s its tricky to know whatever navy I’m looking at is a type 1, 2 or 4. I know type 1 navy is a bit brighter, but sometimes the navy’s I see in the DYT store (type 1) or style finder look very similar to type 2 or 4. Since it’s such a great neutral and grounding color, it’d be awesome for you to do a piece on that! Just a thought 😉

Thanks again for all you do!

  4. OB nurse here! I see you’re getting the big baby shortness of breath! You look totally adorable! Where did you get those great leggings?! Really pretty combination you’re wearing! May God bless you as you deliver your baby!

  5. Thanks Jaleah for the tips on wearing chocolate and other T1 browns. I’ve never worn much black, it always felt too heavy, draining, but frequently wear chocolate brown. I love the texture in your winter white knit dress, looks fabulous, baby bump and all. 🙂
