  1. Great video! It was fun to watch all of you together. I learned something new about type 2 patterns! The more disconnected the pattern is, the lower the contrast needs to be. I wonder if 2/1s can wear larger scale patterns too? Like a more soft and watercolor-like floral pattern (not the textured kind like Anne’s top). Or is larger patterns not “cute” enough for s1?

      1. I was getting confused with pattern/contrast/secondaries but feel a bit relieved as these are my favourite prints in dyt store atm. I should trust my sixth sense as its been leading me to my 2/1 patterns. Thankyou for showing examples.

  2. Really enjoyed this, thank you everyone! I second the question from Sophie; as a fellow 2/1 sometimes I am also drawn to a larger scale pattern…hmmmm

  3. Thanks for the very informative video! Now I understand why I love big, bold high-contrast edgy patterns (T4/3); and that even though I’m a small person, I can get away with wearing them. All you ladies look beautiful of course…!

  4. I love when you gals do videos like this, where you’re all together and you explain how a certain design element shows up in each of the types. Such a bonus to bring in the idea of secondaries, too! This helps us hone our skills and accurately identify clothing items “in the wild” to figure out if they’re supportive of our energy type!

  5. I love the side by side comparison of patterns for each type! I appreciated that you also took a moment to explain how a secondary can be incorporated as well. I recently went through my closet and I normally organize by color but I had all my favorite patterned tops next to each other and they all pretty much had a low to medium contrast and a connecting pattern. It was a wonderful confirmation that my beauty sixth sense has been sneaking in Type 2 soft and subtle for years lol. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8f3d1e5173056480270f767d806b719a348cac37fb1f4fec82c2d5a54d0d8fb4.jpg

  6. I recently went to the style finder in search of short sleeve print tops for the summer. The site didn’t have what I was looking for, so I went on a bold quest to find some on my own ( and I could afford) at Kohls. I came home with two tops that I thought were pretty ‘good’ T3 styles. But was concerned that my have some T1 features. A few weeks later, when I logged onto lifestyle again, I saw the SAME two tops. Total confirmation that I found GREAT tops!! Patterns are difficult for me to find as a T3, and I end up with many solids as a result.

  7. Anne, I love your whole outfit. I don’t see the skirt for sale in the DYT store, can you share where you purchased it? Thanks!

  8. This was a great video. I used to wear absolutely no pattern. DYT has helped me to try pattern and realize that I can indeed wear it but it has to be low contrast and blended patterns. Too much pop and contrast totally overwhelms me. I believe I’m a type 2 so that would make total sense :).
