I love showing you my style in all of our videos, but you might be wondering what I wear every day—even when I’m not on camera! I kept track of my #OOTD (Outfit of The Day) for a week and wanted to give you a look inside my every day life!
Monday:
Today was a work day at the office. I like to wear things that are a little dressier than what I wear at home, so I chose my Aztec-pattern capri jeans and a solid, wheat-colored top with some interesting details in the front panel. I love all the different textures going on. Because my clothes were neutral, I decided to add some color with my necklace. I typically don’t wear a lot of larger jewelry pieces when I am with my babies, so I like to take advantage of that when I am at work!
Tuesday:
Today I was home with my girls. I really enjoy doing activities outside with them. We went for a bike ride to this lovely park near our home. We packed lunch, laid out a blanket, and enjoyed the scenery. Because I was exercising, I sported my Type 3 active wear. I often get compliments on my active wear because it is so vibrant in color – even my amazing Type 3 helmet. I love this thing!! It is rich in color and an incredible angular pattern design. A lot of people wear black or grey when they work out, so when I show up in my rich shades, I stand out in a good way.
Wednesday:
Today I was working at the office. Since I was filming on set, I chose to wear a loose-fitting top that’s easy to get in and out of (I change my clothes a lot when I’m on set.) I paired it with my edgy but comfortable skinny jeans. My boots dress it up a little with the heel. I also wore more jewelry as well because I love to wear jewelry without worrying it will get ruined by my cute baby girls.
Thursday:
Today was a Mommy Day, and since I like to meal plan and grocery shop on Thursdays, we headed to Costco. My girls and I love it because they have a double grocery cart that I can sit both of my girls in! I chose a floral t-shirt dress with flip flops and earrings for our shopping trip. I like being comfortable when I am out and about, and to me that looks like something I can move swiftly in. You would think I wouldn’t be able to in a dress, but it’s perfect because the material is very stretchy. I feel feminine and yet edgy in this rich floral. Notice the sunglasses! I seem to use them as a little head band when I am out running errands.
Friday:
I loved everything about this Lazy Friday. It was the perfect day to set aside the to-do list and just be present with my little people. We played with the twins’ Minnie Mouse babies, played hide-and-seek, and wrestled on the floor for a bit too. I wore my favorite lounge clothes today, which were a printed, v-neck t-shirt and green, textured lounge sweats. Some people might think that lounge wear equals not showering and staying in your pajamas all day—but not me! I like to shower, put on a little makeup and small stud earrings, then put on my lounge wear to relax and take a little break from my normally busy life.
Saturday:
On Saturdays we like to get our chores done around the house. So today I wore an outfit that was super casual and easy to move swiftly in! I picked my jean shorts with a burnt red, short-sleeve sweatshirt top, some red Keds, and my amazing hat! This hat has been a staple since I purchased it last year. I love all the colors because I can wear it with a lot. It is my go-to when I am not able to spend time on my hair, which seem to be most Saturdays!
Sunday:
I really enjoy getting dressed up every Sunday for Church. It’s fun to spend a few extra minutes in the mirror and enjoy the time to myself while Dad plays with the kiddos. I picked my favorite coral dress with the lace detail in the front. I love the slimming lines on this dress and the unique sleeve length. I added my angular pendant necklace that has a little sparkle and then a triangular post earring. Because I wanted the dress to steal the show, I picked a neutral high heel..
And there you have it: my week of Type 3 outfits! I hope it gave you some insight to what I wear whether I’m out on a bike trail or relaxing at home. Now I want to see your very own #OOTD! Share a picture in the comments below and show us how you bring Dressing Your Truth anywhere you are!
