  • Tips to know the difference between the Type 2 & Type 4 “elongated oval” shape.
  • Is it okay for a Type 3 to wear black?
  • What to do if you’re a Type 1 who doesn’t feel sociable.
  • How to trust your Type 2 nature to make healthy choices without letting your secondary Energy Type take over.
  • If you’ve done this one thing, does it mean you’re a Type 3?
  • Why you don’t have to be a “perfectionist” to be a Type 4, and why Energy Profiling doesn’t use that word.

  1. Another wonderful presentation! Thanks! There are always so many interesting tid-bits you put it. I was just watching The Sting and wondering about Robert Redford’s type. You said he is a T3 which certainly makes sense. What is his secondary please?

  2. I am the ‘success story’ T2 who was overwhelmed by Christmas this year, and realized that I was letting my T4 secondary push me to overdo and decorate more ‘perfectly’ than I have energy for this year. I had to come find this video today just so I could hear what you said in response, Carol, because when you read my comment, I started crying and missed it! Hee hee! Thanks again.

  3. I am a type 2 who recently pulled a tendon in my foot. I found out that I have high arches that need to be better supported. I bought an arch support but it was very hard plastic and there was no way it would ever feel comfortable for me. Are your supports softer Carol? Any recommendations? Thanks so much!

  4. I would have had the dad as a 3/1 (mostly got the 3 from his fights with the furnace and his Indy car speed dreams with the tire change) and Ralphie as a 1/4 – so I was pretty close! 🙂 Totally agreed with the mom and younger brother. The thing that nailed the younger brother as a type 2 to me is the moment when he goes to hide under sink and is crying because he thinks his dad is going to kill Ralphie.

  5. Very informative Type Talk. Love that sweater on you with the jacket Carol. Love the scarf on Anne. Merry Christmas!

  6. I nailed three of the four, but was dead on with Ralphy’s second, it makes total sense though his 4/1. My husband introduced me to the the Christmas story when we were married.

  7. Thanks for the comment about the Sundance catalog, and Robert Redford’s type! I receive it, and I’m always disappointed there isn’t more for my type in it. I’m type 1. There is a tiny bit of clothes and jewelry for us there. Probably like many (non t3?) women, I start to feel inadequate looking at it. 🙁

  8. I finally had a chance to watch this segment and boy was I wrong on the typing of the celebrities… This caused some interesting feelings to come up in my thought processes. After initially typing myself as a 2, I determined eventually that I was a 4. I have never determined my secondary and now I am wondering after listening to this if it could be a S1. I go back and forth between 1 and 2 and occasionally, throw in a possible S3 due to my list making and getting things done mantra???(hmmm, clue or not, ha, ha….) I love the T4 clothing and palette and felt relief when I determined that this was my primary but I think I need to go back and listen to some of the archived videos…. I tried to get a T4 hairstyle after a hair consultation but the results with my current stylist were so disastrous that I have been frozen…not wanting to try it again with another stylist… I also might need to read the Child Whisperer (only book I have not read through the whole way). Thanks for another very interesting video.

    1. Your comment reads like a Type 1, sharing so many possibilities of what Type you might be and why. Multiple ??? and ….. and even adding ha, ha. Those are all very animated additions to your writing style. I support your inspiration to reconsider!

      1. Thanks Carol for the feedback. I thought I was pretty confident in my primary T4. My discussion above was more about trying to determine my secondary. Before I even read your response, this past weekend I set an intention to see more clearly my secondary. NEVER initially thought it could be a S1 but I am more convinced than ever after noticing some things that presented over the weekend. When I first started this journey, I created a binder and took notes when watching the videos, etc.. so I went back and reviewed some of this info. I think I must have watched all of them (or at least most at the time). I remember one in particular in which women who had typed themselves initially as a 2 were actually 4/1. At the time, I thought maybe that was me but I said no.. and ignored it and kept reading and analyzing :). This week when I get a chance, I want to review the 4/1 info – there were a couple good videos about that combination. I have also tried to not use just one thing to make a determination but look overall at my movement, energy, style, behavior, etc.. (love stillness, quiet and silence) but I can utilize my S1 when I have to participate in networking events. When I look at the facial profiling, I see a square forehead and what I think are parallel features. The only ‘1’ aspect is possibly the tip of the nose is a little rounder and a little bit in the cheek when I smile. This has been an interesting journey and one that will continue. I am intrigued at how our secondary can influence our overall style and hope to learn more about this in the next few months. Thanks again to you and your staff for all the great Lifestyle info.
