How Do You Celebrate Halloween & What That Says About You

What Halloween clues are you giving yourself?

How you celebrate Halloween (or not) tells you a lot about your Energy Type.

#EnergyProfilingWithCarol is a fast-paced, interactive show where I walk you through the process of discovering your Energy Type. This week, we’re talking about the spookiest time of year! Your preferences and how you choose to celebrate gives you clues about who you are.

In this episode, I reveal what I do to celebrate Halloween and then discuss the tendencies of each Type.

Then, I visit with two women who are followers of my work that are at different stages in their Energy Profiling experience.

My first guest is a Type 3 violinist, Stephanie. She shares how her fast-paced, fiery energy is expressed through her music.  Then, she shares her tip for how other women can also discover their own Type beauty and create a style that’s truly their own.

My other guest, Ann, has come to me hoping for some Type support. She explains how there’s a lot of one particular Energy Type in her family.  As a result, she’s not able to clearly see her own. You won’t believe what I tell her. It’s a shocker! Will she accept it?

  1. Ann was tricky for me too, but I definitely noticed her teeth, center widow’s peak, and straight eyes. I didn’t settle on any type before you moved on but if I had had to pick one it would have been 4. Anyways, I’m getting better with all this!

  2. T4/2. I do like Halloween. Though T1 would be the energy I express the least, I do think it’s fun. I enjoy watching the kids having fun and admiring each other’s costumes. And the candy, of course.
I don’t decorate much or go all out on my kid’s costume, but I like seeing the more gothic decorations around, as well as some of the clothing that’s available. The thing is, I’d probably like to use them year-round! I’d love to get some black silk flowers for the house.

  3. I’m not a huge fan of Halloween and dressing up, however, I do love fall and decorating my home with fall decor. I’m a Type 2 and even as a child dressing up in costumes was not comfortable to me and not my favorite holiday. I remember feeling overwhelmed on Halloween and the spooky scary stuff made me feel really uneasy. I much prefer Thanksgiving and the opportunity to focus on gratitude.

  4. I’m a Type 4 and I’m in love with Halloween! I think this may be surprising to some, so I’ve tried to think about why a Type 4 would like this holiday. I think I like the idea of pretending to be someone else for a day. I tend to be more formal on other occasions so it’s nice to have one day officially set aside to let go and have fun. There are also a lot less expectations for me on Halloween. During Christmas and other holidays there is so much preparation and stress, but Halloween is pretty laid back. We do have a big party at our home the night of Halloween but it’s very relaxed. We provide a fun dinner and then people can go trick or treating with the little kids, or stay at our home and talk around the fire pit.

  5. As a Type 2, I enjoy the more subtly spooky, more detailed decor and costuming of Halloween. My T4 son loves to create costumes with precision, facsimilies of what he has seen in a movie or book. My T1 son always thinks of what will be most fun to do and dress as for the evening, and my T3 son comes up with something completely wild and unique every year!

  6. I’m a 1/2 but in regards to what was said here I think I’m more type 3 when it comes to Halloween. I love to do arts and craft projects (for Halloween and other holidays) but I won’t decorate if no one will see it. There’s no point. I also don’t care to decorate unless I have creative freedom. I want to be the one to come up with a creative idea for the house or it just feels like work following someone else’s plan. I like haunted houses but I think I like them more for the scenery than to be scared. I’ve only been to one in my whole life I actually though that was scary and that’s because it included a life size train racing at you, tight spaces with someone chasing you in them, and gun shots. I might be type 2 when it comes to corn mazes. I like to have an exact plan and won’t just walk through blindly. I’m very detailed that way. The last corn maze I was on I made a plan, made my way through the 10 mile maze, got my completion certificate, and then made my way back to my friends. I have mixed feelings on costumes. They’re ok, but I won’t go to all the work unless I’m going to a party.
