  1. I love the “mother hen/baby chick” picture regarding her energy combo. I will ponder its application as a 4/1. A delightful video and a nice break from an otherwise intense work day! Type 1/2 energy is so great for gifting the rest of the word in that way 🙂 Thank you!

  2. Stephanie is so adorable, loved her outfits. This video both answered and raised questions I have concerning Yin/Yang.. When I watched the 2/1 video, all I could think of after was.. well, wait..that doesn’t make sense.. Hubby is a 2/4 and his ratio of yin/yang matches mine.. That doesn’t make sense.. and of course, as a 2/1 I match the yin/yang ratio of a 1/2. Brings up the question that I am confused on…So hubby and I would both be yin/yin for our dominant 2 and one has a secondary of yin/yang and another yang/yin. Where can I go to get the list/description of which is the leading element? My guess would be I am yin/yin/yang/yin as a 2/1 with a secondary that moves outward and he would be yin/yin/yin/yang with a secondary that is still? Is that correct?

    1. Yes that is correct. Type 1 and 3 always lead with yang and Type 2 and 4 always lead with yin. You’re line ups are in the right order. We are working on a written post that will clearly describe the order and quality of each Type’s yin. I saw this was necessary as we’ve referred to yin and yang so much lately!

      1. Thank you! That would be very helpful. Can I also ask for a brief description of what is considered “yang” vs “yin” in our clothing? I re-watched on old video where you talked about how to “slow the flow” in an outfit. Is that because all that flow is too yin?

  3. Thank you Carol and Stephanie!!! 🙂 Now I realize why the T1 Style is sometimes too restless for me. I like it a bit more simple and calm. These are my three chicks !! Good idea too, that I start with the hen to build my look! Very nice parable – thank you Stephanie for that!

  4. Love this! As a confirmed 1/2 I can totally relate to the “bonus tip” at the end. When my Yin baby chicks peep too loudly, making me second-guess my Yang mother hen, and worrying that she’s coming across too strongly! Thanks for reminder that I DO lead with that, and being upward and outward first IS my natural movement, despite my softer and subtler secondary energy!

    1. I Ashley, glad you enjoyed this video! PS – you don’t have to share that you are a confirmed 1/2, just own it for yourself now!

  5. This is so helpful for me. It explains why I sometimes feel my outfit is too juvenile for my age. I have been trying to be a double yang instead of mother yang and 3 yin chicks. I can so relate to all that Stephanie shared, especially the part about self doubt and not wanting to appear too bright and out going, My T2 often keeps me hidden. Thank you, Carol and Stephanie!!!

  6. A great video – thank you Stephanie and Carol. It explained so much to me about why I love certain outfits and others just don’t feel quite right.

  7. This was a huge help. I have the tendency to wear type 1 colors but have everything else be type 2. I think I need to work on bringing in that element of yang. That could be why none of my outfits feel right. Time for an outing to the mall to try out various clothing compilations :).

  8. Starting with the pop and then working in the flow – this is brilliant and helpful – I’m feeling much more confident now about creating my daily look

  9. This makes so much sence to me! I need more Yang in my wardrobe. I have to much yin. And the Yang I do have is up by my face and feels overwheming. Great video!

  10. As a type 4/3 I think this gave me an aha moment! My Yin Yang profile is: Yin, Yang, Yang, Yang. So I have the mother Yin and three little Yang chicks, or maybe something more fierce than chicks if they are yang babies. Tigers maybe? So I will start with the Yin in my situation!
